As the Coronavirus sweeps across the country and into our lives I’m finding gratitude for nature, lying down on the ground and looking up through the trees to the cloud swept sky. It’s a delightful 75 degrees at the campsite where we’ll stay for this third unplanned night.
The COVID-19 pandemic has canceled our next two shows Atlanta ACC and the Paradise City Arts in Marlboro MA. After driving a long day from Florida to Georgia two days ago and hearing about the cancellations we were ready to tack south again and set up a few fill-in shows but just found out they are canceled too.
It’s been a hectic day searching technology trying to nail down some money-making strategies for this unexpected void all in vane now.
We’ll be lighting a campfire soon and raising a glass to be out in nature tonight, under the trees and stars, one more time before heading north and back to mud season in Maine. I’m looking forward to working in my shop and tackling a few commissions, though.
My heart goes out to all who are struggling to hang on through these difficult times. There’s a silver lining, however, this unforeseen time tuning into nature’s healing powers! It’s working for me!
Be well
Geoff
