Geoffrey Warner Studio is pleased to announce the receipt of a Maine Technology Institute (MTI) grant for the purpose of further exploring the ergonomic benefits of the Owl Stool. The $5,000 grant was received from MTI/Capital and Commercialization for Research and Development.
The process of evaluating the Owl Stools began by delivering four stool versions to US Ergonomics, located in Sea Cliff, NY. The versions vary by the angle of the seat and the contours of the edge of the seat.
Below is an image showing US Ergo staff testing Iana’s sit pressures on a Rolling Owl — notice the computer screen showing pressure points. The Study will evaluate comfort and the healthy postural support of our line of ergonomic Owl seating. We expect to receive the study results by mid summer.
