Ask Bob and Dirk, who look quite content rocking with their early evening ales in the Warner Rockers.
Bob, sitting on the right, owns and is renovating the Crocker House Country Inn on Hancock Point in Maine: https://www.crockerhouse.com. He has commissioned Geoff to design and make a line of “Crocker House” furniture.
Geoff is known for his line of ergonomic Owl Furniture and the “Owl Stool”, as well as 40+ years of “one of a kind” furniture building. This exciting project will take a few years to complete and will be a great opportunity for Geoff to spring off in new directions, while continuing to add ergonomics, comfort and hand crafted beauty to his craft. On the project lists are, beds, with live edge headboards; chests of drawers, with beautiful specialty wood fronts; live edge coffee tables; and a new chair design, which incorporates steam bending and copper rivet joinery, inspired by traditional wooden boat building. And why not, we live in one of the boat building hubs! Downeast Maine has long been considered the wooden boat capital. Bob is continuing the tradition by displaying and incorporating many different Maine artists in the workings of the Inn. One of the dining rooms has charts of the area as wallpaper so it you have ever been lucky enough to sail in these waters you can relive the trip while you enjoy an amazing dinner.
The upholstered lounge chairs were the first design and build for the “Crocker House Collection”. They are shown here still in Geoff’s shop before heading to the Inn.
Here are three Warner Rockers sunning themselves on the deck on a beautiful Maine summer day. Next stop…The Crocker House lounge area.
At the newly renovated bar at the Inn you can enjoy a cocktail and appetizer in ergonomic comfort on the Owl bar chairs.
Stay tuned for updates and special events at the Crocker House Country Inn…more in 2024!
