It’s May and our Governor, Janet Mills, is allowing some businesses to reopen with restrictions. Since we create ergonomic furniture that can be used for home offices we have been allowed to stay open as essential. We have been busy making desks and task stools for customers that want to set up their office space at home to work more efficiently and with healthy ergonomics in mind. These were for delivery only and no customers were allowed in the shop.
Now with the re-opening one of the restrictions for allowing customers in the door is that masks be worn. This is a photo of our first visitor since reopening. She wanted a customized Om meditation stool to take with her when she heads off to a 3 year retreat. The blessing to accompany the photo is “I wear my mask to protect you and you wear your mask to protect me. NaMASKe”. We are looking for the joy in simple pleasure and take delight in these. The Om comes with an 8.5” height in the front and 10” in the back but can be customized for your height and leg length. It is a comfortable and aesthetic solution designed to meet the needs of meditators who have limited flexibility or want to relieve spinal pressures. The postural support holes ease tension by allowing space for the ischial (sits) bones and provide proper spinal alignment. Our customers keep coming up with new ways to use the Om. It is the perfect height for sitting at a coffee table and also makes a great dog grooming stool.
